It was a pleasant day for the first use of the furo (brazier) in the season, with a gentle breeze blowing through the green leaves. As water was sprinkled on the garden path, the grass leaves began to shimmer in the early summer sun.
This was the first practice session using the furo. For the start of the new season, I carved a tea scoop by selecting white bamboo which has reversed groove.
The flowers in the alcove is irises.
For sweets, prepared Kashiwa Mochi, rice cakes wrapped in oak leaves (Chigasaki City, Confectionery Shop Murataya).
