Lush green leaves are nourishing the garden of Shoraian. The purple orchids have also begun to bloom. Early summer is just around the corner.

The scroll in the alcove is“Green Mountains and Clear Water." It depicts lush green mountains and abundant water,a refreshing scene of nature. In Zen Buddhism, it is said that the truth lies within this very scene.

The flowers in the alcove is Chinese peony.

For sweets, prepared Zuiun (Tokyo Minami-Aoyama, Confectionery Shop Kikuya).
