Two typhoons have passed through the Kanto region.
The tea room is dimmer than usual, with the electric light in the tokonoma (alcove) serving as the only source of illumination. The school's founder, Kobori Enshu, designed tea rooms with many windows—and seeing the room in this light, I can certainly appreciate the wisdom of that choice.
The flowers in the alcove are,Hypericum patulum (goldencup St. John's wort) and Crocosmia Lucifer.
For sweets, prepared "Minazuki" (Confectionery Murataya in Chigasaki).
