After the first frost, the weather suddenly turned cold. Today, a cold rain is falling, and there are few people in the garden of Shōraian.

This is the last tea ceremony practice of the year using the Furo (brazier). Listening to the sound of the rain outside in the dimly lit tea room, the lingering atmosphere of the season even more strongly.

The flowers in the alcove are toad lily and small yellow chrysanthemums.

For sweets, prepared "Kurikinnton (栗きんとん)"　(Nakatsugawa Suya, at Gifu).
