After several typhoons passed, the weather has finally turned cool. The water has cleared, the sky has grown high, and feel autumn's arrival.

This year's Mid-Autumn Festival full moon falls on October 6th. In Japan, we offer rice dumplings and Japanese pampas grass while admiring the moon, wheares in other countries, it's a time for family gatherings. Also, mooncakes, beloved as a staple Chinese confection in Japan, are a special treat only available during this season in Chinese-speaking regions.

The flowers on the alcove are gentian, great burnet,thoroughwort,Japanese valerian, and asters.

For the sweets, prepared mooncakes with nut paste (Enkaten, Shinjuku Nakamuraya).
