This is the season of beautiful young leaves of hydrangea. The buds hidden by the leaves are also darkening their colors day by day. The rainy season come soon.
At temaeza, where host make the tea, combined a Tengo-an shelf with the brazier. This shelf is one of the favorite shelves of the Kobori Enshu Ryu. It harmoniously combines three types of boards: a square base, a diamond-shaped middle, and a circular top. Tengo means "to fool around" or "mischief." It is a hint of Enshu's playful spirit.
Flowers for the alcove are hydrangea and trailing abutilon.
For sweets, prepared Honwarabi (Sentaro).
