It was a Saturday of cherry blossom rain. In the tea room, the hanging kettle swayed gently. Occasionally, the sound of large raindrops hitting the roof could be heard.

April is the month for practicing the handling of the hanging kettle. Raise and lower the kettle by changing the position of the hook on the kettle chain. In our school, a hidden trivet is used. This is a precaution to prevent the kettle from unexpectedly falling into the hearth and sending ash flying. It is a manifestation of the meticulous preparation characteristic of the master Enshu.

The flowers in the alcove is snowflake.
