The cold of the past few days has eased, and the spring sky is wide open. The carp in the pond at Shorai-an have appeared leisurely.
The scroll in the alcove reads, “Playing with flowers, fragrance fills my clothes.” It's a line from a poem by the Chinese poet Yu Liangshi. It is also interpreted as a Zen saying, it means that one naturally adapts to the environment in which they are placed.
The flowers in the alcove are Kamo Honami camellias and lindera praecox.
For sweets, prepared Sakura Mochi(Taneya at Shiga).
