Today turned out to be a beautifully sunny and warm day. It's hard to believe it snowed just last week.
The scroll on the alcorve is a poem by Ietaka Fujiwara; To those who wait only for flowers, I wish I could show them the grass sprouting in the mountain village with deep snow. It reminds us that spring is heralded not only by vibrant flowers, but also by the young grass sprouting in the snow. This poem is also known for expressing the spirit of Rikyu's tea ceremony.
The flowers in the alcove are akebono camellias and Japanese cornelian cherry.
For the sweets, prepared“Setouchi Orangette” (Small Bake Shop, Hiroshima) and “Lemonge” (Tobishima Citrus Factory, Hiroshima).
