Japan Tea Ceremony Federation 120th Tea Ceremony at Gokokuji Temple, November 3rd, 2025

On Culture Day, under a beautiful blue sky, the Japan Tea Ceremony Federation held a tea ceremony at Gokokuji Temple in Tokyo. This year, all six schools gathered.

From the Kobori Enshu Ryu, Master Sasaki Soichi was in charge of tea room. At the thick tea ceremony in Enjoan, the utensils used were those from the era of the school's founder, Enshu.

Enjo-an is a four-tatami-mat tea room with a wooden board and a daimekiri (decorative wall) that can be found beyond the gate "Danshi Enjo" on the left of the Furomon Gate. It was built in 1926 by people led by Takahashi Sou-an.

Many guests attended, making it a very fulfilling day of assisting in the tea preparation room.
